About the studio

Gulshan craft, Dhaka weather, industrial discipline.

Smart Paint Home started as a residential colour crew in Gulshan and grew into a studio that also runs offices and plant shutdowns. The same people who obsess over a living room cut line also write method statements for epoxy floors.

We are not a marketplace of random painters. Supervisors stay on the job. Quotes stay in BDT. Colour gets sampled on the wall that will actually wear it.

The logo’s brush and house are not decoration. They are the brief: homes that feel cared for, coatings that behave like a building product, and a finish you can inspect in hard Gulshan daylight.

Origin

Built in Gulshan because this is where the complaints were loudest.

Clients here were tired of crews that arrived without drop cloths, changed the quoted colour, and disappeared before the snag list. Landlords were tired of painting over damp. Offices were tired of Monday odour.

We organised around those complaints. Protection kits in every van. Moisture meters. Written coat counts. A snag window that is a calendar date, not a shrug.

Industrial work arrived when a client asked if the same discipline could survive a Tejgaon shutdown. It could, if we treated HSE and grind time as first class, not as extras.

Today the Gulshan desk still answers the phone. The routes now include Banani, Baridhara, Bashundhara, Motijheel, Dhanmondi, Uttara, and plant belts when the specification is honest.

Residential architecture typical of our home work

How we decide

Six rules the crew can recite without a slide.

Honest substrate talk

If the wall will fail, we say so before colour. A lost job is cheaper than a public peeling story.

People still living there

Occupied homes and offices get a plan for paths, odour, and sleep. Painting is disruptive. We do not pretend otherwise.

Chemistry that fits the climate

Humidity, dust, and sun are design inputs. Imported looks that cannot wash in Dhaka do not make the spec.

Paper before rollers

Scope, BDT, access, and snag dates. Variations in writing. That is respect for your time and ours.

Leave it cleaner than we found it

Tape residue, overspray, and tea cups are part of the job. The colour is not done until the floor is.

Safety is a coat too

Heights, solvents, and plant floors get briefings. A glossy wall is not worth a fall.

Exterior access and careful site setup

People

Finishers, supervisors, and a desk that still picks up.

Colour leads run samples and client conversations. Site supervisors own protection, pace, and snags. Finishers own edges. Helpers own floors and masking. Nobody is ‘just labour’ on a Gulshan duplex where a marble stair can be ruined in a minute.

We brief in Bangla and English. We hire for care with other people’s homes, not only for speed. Speed without masking is expensive.

Training covers moisture meters, brand data sheets, and how to stop a job when the weather turns. The bravest thing a painter can do in Dhaka is delay an exterior.

Visit the Gulshan desk or send the room as it is.
